Sushil Tamuli, Chief Managing Director of Radiant International School, Sonapur, speaks to EduNe.in about his vision for holistic, activity-based learning, the opportunities and challenges of running a school in a semi-urban setting, and his plans to prepare students for a globally connected future.

 

  1.  Radiant International School has grown into a reputed institution in Sonapur. What was your original vision      when  you founded the school, and how close do you think you are to achieving it today?

 

Answer: – Radiant International School was established on 2nd April 2019 with the vision to provide holistic activity-based quality education and also to make our students self-reliance. As we are to conducting self-reliance program in our school premise every quarterly, we are glad to say that we are very close to achieve our vision as on today.

 

  1. What makes Radiant International School different from other schools in Guwahati, especially in terms of teaching methodology, student engagement, and extracurricular focus?

Answer: -We don’t allow to take any private tuition to our student, for that we work hard like; We conduct extra classes for those students who are not able to co-up with others for them we also conduct special class to clear their concept wherever they get doubt.

  1. How is the school preparing its students for the challenges of the 21st century — particularly in areas like digital literacy, communication skills, and global awareness?

Answer: Our school is fully equipped with all sophisticated digital equipment, we also introduced Artificial Intelligent subject in all class, we have also E-library. Over all we proud to say that we give maximum important to digital literacy to our students.

 

  1. Sonapur is a semi-urban area. How does the school balance modern education standards with the cultural and social context of the local community?

 Answer: We have higher classes and well experienced faculty team and we get co-operation from parents who are also quite supportive.

 

  1. What are the biggest challenges you face as the proprietor of a growing school in Assam, and what opportunities do you see for schools in the North East in the coming years?

Answer: Challenges we face is that on our school is situated at sonapur, which is a Semi-Urban area, but still we are working hard to give our best. Here I would like to mention that we have a good no. of Students, from Guwahati, Jagirod, Jorabat, Byrnihat, Morigaon, apart from Sonapur. So I think we have almost overcome the challenges of the location of our school.

  1. What are your short-term and long-term plans for Radiant International School in terms of?

Answer: we are doing our best to provide a special class room and with all modern amenity. Our plan is to provide them world class highly sophisticated digital equipment facility to our students.   Our plan is    to go for collaboration with other countries so that we can have students exchange program with other countries like UK, USA etc.
