Sikkim NEET Counselling 2025: Registrations Now Open for MBBS/BDS Admission

Gangtok, July 31, 2025 — The Sikkim NEET UG Counselling 2025 registration officially began today at 10:00 AM, allowing qualified candidates to apply for MBBS or BDS seats for the state quota in Sikkim. The portal will remain open until August 11, 2025, at 4:30 PM via the official website statequota.sikkim.gov.in.
The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Sikkim, will oversee counselling based on NEET 2025 scores. Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS) in Gangtok is the only medical college in the state, offering 150 MBBS seats (approximately 85% reserved for state quota and 15% allotable via All India Quota)

🔍 Eligibility & Seat Distribution
Only Sikkim-domicile candidates are eligible for the state quota seats in SMIMS. The counselling is merit-based, guided by NEET 2025 rank and choice filling, adhering to reservation norms for categories like Bhutia Lepcha, Primitive Tribe, SC/ST, OBC, etc.
SMIMS offers 150 MBBS seats each year; around 127 are allocated under state quota with 15% for AIQ via MCC counselling processes ______________

2. Start a new registration, provide personal and NEET details.
3. Upload scanned documents as listed.
4. Pay registration or counselling fee, if applicable.
5. Review and submit. Download/print confirmation page.
Since official counselling schedules and merit list publications are pending, students should check the portal daily for updates on state quota allotment rounds, result announcements, and subsequent reporting instructions.
