Guwahati: In a proud moment for Assam and the Northeast, Dr. A.K. Pansari, Chancellor of The Assam Royal Global University and Chairman of Royal Global School, Guwahati, has been conferred the EducationWorld Extraordinary Achievement in Education Leadership Award 2025–26.
The award, presented at a ceremony in New Delhi by EducationWorld as part of the EW India School Rankings Awards (ISRA), recognises Dr. Pansari’s outstanding contribution to education, social welfare, and cultural harmony in the region. He was also inducted into the EducationWorld Hall of Fame of Indian Education, an honour reserved for leaders who have made a lasting impact on the nation’s educational landscape.
Expressing gratitude, Dr. Pansari said, “This recognition is a reflection of our collective commitment to redefining the learning experience and empowering young minds to lead with knowledge, integrity, and compassion.”
A chartered accountant turned educationist, Dr. Pansari has spent over two decades building a network of institutions under the Royal Group that now educates more than 13,000 students with the guidance of 950 faculty members—from kindergarten to PhD level. His vision has positioned the Royal Group as one of the most prominent centres of learning in Northeast India, known for its focus on innovation, research, and holistic development.
Beyond academics, his social initiatives through the Gyan Sagar Foundation, the charitable arm of the Royal Group, have brought tangible change to countless lives. The Foundation has led humanitarian programmes such as the Royal Anna Seva food distribution drives, free medical camps, and relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The EducationWorld Awards celebrate visionary leaders shaping India’s education system. This year’s ceremony brought together top educators, policymakers, and institutional heads from across the country to honour excellence and leadership in education.
