B.K. Bajoria School Wins 5th All Shillong Inter-School Quiz Competition Hosted by Laban Bengalee Boys’ HSS

Shillong: The spirit of knowledge and competition was on full display as Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School hosted the 5th All Shillong Inter-School Quiz Competition on August 30, 2025.
The event, held in the school auditorium, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 13 schools across Shillong and nearby regions, bringing together some of the brightest young minds in a battle of intellect and quick thinking. Students tackled a wide range of questions spanning current affairs, history, science, literature, and general knowledge, making the contest both challenging and engaging.
After several tightly fought rounds, B.K. Bajoria Higher Secondary School emerged victorious with the team of Ryanel C. Khongji and Saket Mishra clinching the First Prize. The Second Prize went to the team from Ram Krishna Mission Higher Secondary School, Sohra, represented by Toteilakupar L. Buhphang and Naki Charmelia S. Kharmyndai, who impressed the audience with their quick responses. The host institution, Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School, secured the Third Prize through the efforts of Tushar Das and Bikram Paul, adding to the excitement of the competition.
The quiz not only celebrated academic excellence but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the participating schools. Teachers, parents, and fellow students cheered on the contestants, making the atmosphere vibrant and encouraging.
Speaking on the occasion, the organizers highlighted the importance of such competitions in broadening students’ horizons beyond textbooks and encouraging them to remain curious, well-read, and aware of the world around them.
The All Shillong Inter-School Quiz Competition, now in its fifth edition, has steadily grown in stature and participation, establishing itself as one of the key academic events in the city’s educational calendar.
